Day 11287

Devil in a bottle

Because I’m a little too excited about a certain movie (a movie which, if it kicks as much ass as the trailers have, I will likely be watching with both fists permanently raised in the air), I’ve slightly modified the site’s header: through the weekend, Mr. Stark will be a permanent fixture.

(Unless, of course, the movie blows. In which case, I will replace the image with a photo of me. Sobbing.)

That is all. Carry on, citizen.

And stay classy.

That, and The Robot threatened to punch me in the mouth if I got rid of ‘em.

Every site that I normally read, radio station I listen to that hates comic book movies LOVED Iron Man. It’s a man in AN IRON SUIT. It just doesn’t get any better.

    Awesome. Awesome.

Funny thing is, I’ve never really gotten into the Iron Man comics; liked the idea behind the character, but never really got hooked by any of the stories. But the trailers for this movie have had me trying to refrain from typing in all-caps for, like, the past month.

Could we make the Iron Man theme our wedding march? ‘Cause it’s pretty much the most badass music ever.

    Well, it absolutely ROCKED!!!

People were cheering and clapping in the theatre. I’m happy that Marvel has such a great success on their first outing and I just hope it continues with their future productions.

BTW, stay through the credits. If you haven’t already heard there is a cool (little) extra scene especially if you’re even somewhat of a comic geek. Great foreshadowing of the future.

    Above all enjoy!

Does that mean I can come dresses as the Cowardly Lion? I’ve always wanted to make a public appearance sporting a mane.

So what did you think? I thought it was pretty awesome. Lots of back story, but since he’s slightly less well-known than Spider-man, I kind of figured that’s how it would be. Robert Downey, Jr., rocks. Great casting by Johnny Favs.

Ironman is clearly one of the best comic book characters ever. Any super heroe who’s power is being an alcoholic geek is tops in my book.

Looking forward to seeing this flick on Tuesday.

Frankly, it kicked my ass through several different walls. I may have to see it again this weekend. I may just move into the movie theater for the next forty-eight hours.

I enjoyed it, though the epic battle at the end felt a little too contrived, even for a “comic book” movie.

But Robert Downey, Jr. did a fine job as the Tony Stark character, I thought.
